Movements – ‘Afraid to Die’

Movements have shared ‘Afraid to Die’, ahead of an EU and UK tour (dates below). Patrick Miranda said the song ‘is so different than anything we’ve ever done, and yet I think it still pulls on the heart strings as a lot of our older music does’.

Sitting in a space between Foxing and Minus the Bear but with post-hardcore elements and tackling the uneasy concept of mortality, the song finds Patrick putting his fears at the forefront – ‘I don’t want to know how it ends’ – and trying to find some closure: ‘So tell me I’m alright, tell me it’s OK, everything will be fine’.
