About

Thanks for visiting Spectral Nights.

Ever since skipping our school prom to go to our first gig in the year 2000, we’ve been passionate about music and have been writing about the bands and artists we love for over two decades.

We are music fans, not critics, and Spectral Nights is a place where we get to wax lyrical about bands we like, gigs we’ve been to and anything else that takes our fancy – from album reviews to new music videos and the occasional interview, festival review and band playlist.

We mainly focus on indie, rock and alternative music, but have a fond love of all things pop or any artist who’s willing to do things differently. We don’t like any form of discrimination and if you use the ridiculously outdated and offensive term ‘female fronted’, we won’t be writing about you or your act(s).

Anyone interested in being featured on Spectral Nights, please message us using the form below. We’re always happy to hear from anyone (and are eternally grateful to anyone who spends their time on this small corner of the internet) but as parents with a full-time job, life gets very busy so sometimes our posts can be a little sporadic:

  1. Hi Ryan!
My name is Olivia and I am the Chief Writer at FDRMX (http://fdrmx.com), an online music publication. I came across your website and really enjoyed reading your reviews. We were wondering if you would be interested in writing for our website? We are looking to expand our team and we think you would be a great fit. You can contact me at o@fdrmx.com if you would like to get involved.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
    Olivia
