Good Good Blood – ‘Green Bank’

Good Good Blood Green Bank stream

Spectral Nights favourite Good Good Blood has shared ‘Green Bank’ ahead of the release of new album ‘The Dizzying Parade’ via Team Love Records on 21 January 2022. With more distorted tones from the outset and a brooding bass pushing things along, this alt-folk piece has an underlying menace as James Smith’s muffled yet rasping vocals deliver lines about how some things always happen and how ‘Juniper pulls and tugs her crown, the seasons shatter’. James goes on to reveal how he’ll hide in the green bank before asking the subject ‘Today, will you stay?’ Other touchpoints could be Bonnie Prince Billy, Sharon Van Etten or Bill Ryder Jones but ‘Green Bank’ is a song that finds Good Good Blood unbottling quite a few emotions.

Pre-order ‘The Dizzying Parade’ from Good Good Blood’s Bandcamp page now.
