Truthpaste – ‘Bus Song’

Truthpaste have shared new single ‘Bus Song’ ahead of a couple of appearances at The Great Escape and a date at the Lexington in London on 4 May.

Describing the song as their ’emo rock song’, it’s a duet that finds the band making future plans – ‘Maybe we should have some kids, I could show them what it means to live’ – over bursts of brass and off-kilter art-pop melodies before Esmé Lark agrees to showing them ‘how it is’. Fitting somewhere between Divorce and Black Country, New Road, the song comes to a crashing finish with chanted group vocals and an infusion of brassy jazz elements.
