Top 5 Must-See Sets at 2000trees 2024

There’s a stellar line-up at this year’s 2000trees Festival and it’s hard to whittle down the ‘don’t miss’ moments to only five acts, but we’re going to give it a go… With apologies to The Gaslight Anthem, as you just know ‘The ’59 Sound’ is going to be THE sing-along moment of the weekend…

Who will you be watching on Upcote Farm from 10 to 13 July?

Lambrini Girls, 5.05pm in the Forest, Wednesday 10 July

‘Great Britain. Are you sure? Whilst the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer?’ Lambrini Girls were one of the highlights of 2023’s festival and are all set to be the same for those lucky enough to have Wednesday tickets this year. A band that wear their hearts on their sleeves and stick to their beliefs and values, Phoebe Lunny is a phenomenal presence on stage and we wouldn’t be surprised to see her climbing the trees in the Forest while setting the world to rights.

Manchester Orchestra, 7.20pm on the Main Stage, Thursday 11 July

When the initial line-up was announced, we were instantly drawn to Manchester Orchestra, Los Campesinos! and The Gaslight Anthem – and now we’re delighted to see all three playing in quick succession on the Thursday. We’re expecting a raw and powerful performance from this most special of bands – and maybe more than a few tears in the audience.

Los Campesinos, 8.35pm in the Forest, Thursday 11 July

Playing a week before the release of seventh album ‘All Hell’ in the Forest – one of the most special settings of any festival in the UK – we cannot wait to see Los Campesinos back on Upcote Farm for the first time since 2011 (when they played the main stage alongside The Twilight Sad and Frightened Rabbit). We’re expecting a sprint to get into the area after Manchester Orchestra but it will all be worth it to hear all of their anthems – many of which have soundtracked our life since 2007.

Indoor Pets, 1.30pm on the Axiom, Saturday 13 July

Released earlier this year via Alcopop! Records, Indoor Pets’ second album ‘Pathetic Apathetic’ finds the guitars turned up and fuzz and scuzz in full swing. From ranting about the ridiculous concept of a ‘living wage’ to darkly tinged observations about relationships, they’ve embraced these heavier concepts and it feels like it’s going to be a loud and proud live show nobody will want to miss.

Into It. Over It.. 4.35pm on the Axiom, Saturday 13 July

It’s been far too long since Evan Weiss and co. made it over to UK shores and it will be a true delight to see Into It. Over It. at 2000trees. Fresh from releasing ‘Interesting Decisions’ – a compilation of songs recorded between 2020 and 2023 – we are excited to see these and others from the extensive II.OI. back catalogue in a festival setting.

2000trees Festival 2024 takes place from Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 July at Upcote Farm, Gloucestershire. More information and tickets are available at 2000trees.co.uk.
