With its experimental glitch-filled opening, Beach Moon/Peach Moon’s ‘Philosophy at 23/at 24’ instantly brings to mind Baths, but it soon moves into something really quite different. Gorgeously melancholic guitars glide over the reflective vocals that state ‘the glass is always full of something’ over and over again.
Chiming drums and glockenspiel are then added into the mix as the grandiose song heads gently to its final seconds, the lyrics changing to: ‘Don’t forget the air, it is all around you. Just breathe’. Taken from forthcoming EP, ‘Kite Without a String’, we can’t wait to hear more from this one-man band from San Francisco.
