Scottish sisters Brèagha Cuinn (Guitar and vocals) and Onnagh Cuinn (Bass and vocals) – Bratakus – have signed to Venn Records and released new single ‘Final Girls’, ‘a song about the horror movie trope of the ‘Final Girl’ and all the rules they have to follow in order to survive the movie. The song talks about how the rules and standards that these characters have to abide by reflect the unspoken rules that society puts in place for women.’
Pure punk with an in-your-face attitude, there’s real power as the duo declare ‘We are not your final girls, we will not follow all your rules’ amidst a slew of punk-meets garage rock riffs that bring to mind Gallows, Distillers and even The Hives (whose bass player Johan Gustafsson recorded and produced it).
