Wolf Alice have shared ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’, the lead single from forthcoming album ‘The Clearing’, which will be released on 29 August.

Described as ‘an arresting ode to growth, evolution and expansion in life, music and art’, it blends a jaunty bar-room baroque piano stomp with a pummeling rhythm section, tribal handclaps and infectious riffs. Stop-start at times, Ellie Rowsell showcases a vocal range that has echoes of Kate Bush. It’s more theatrical than we’ve heard in the past but no less enticing.
