2000 Trees Festival 2025 – Top 5 Must-see Acts

We’re rapidly approaching festival season and there’s so much to look forward to this summer. Once again, some of the finest acts from the alternative sphere will be descending upon Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire for 2000trees Festival 2025.

We’ll be there once again – and here are just five of the bands from the stacked line-up we’re looking forward to seeing. Keep an eye out for a post featuring some hidden gems that we’re also looking forward to watching there this July.

Kneecap
Main Stage, 9.45-11pm, Thursday 10th July

Where else could we start? The Irish rap trio have hit the headlines for all kinds of reasons over the past few months, but very little seems to focus on the music itself. We’re expecting an incendiary, high-octane set that will leave the main stage crowd in awe.

Cloud Nothings
The Axiom, 4.55pm-5.35pm, Friday 11th July

Dylan Baldi and co arrive at 2000trees to deliver an afternoon full of scuzzy riffs and indie rock hits. Following on from the success of last year’s ninth (!) album ‘Final Summer’, this is bound to be an infectious and energetic 40 minutes to set off a Friday afternoon.

Orchards
Forest Sessions, 10.15pm-11pm, Friday 11th July

Orchards always bring a brilliant live show. Finishing Friday in the Forest by bouncing around to the bangers from this year’s ‘Bicker’ album and dancing to their older hits will be a delight.

Kevin Devine
Forest Sessions, 3.35pm-4.10pm, Saturday 12th July

One of our all-time favourite 2000trees moments was watching Kevin Devine play a set filled with Elliott Smith covers in the Forest to close the weekend. The New York-based artist returns to the Forest in 2025 and will be dipping into his extensive back catalogue to bring the tears and feels.

Black Foxxes
NEU Stage, 8.30pm-9.20pm, Saturday 12th July

‘The Haar’, Black Foxxes’ latest record, was described in an Edge of Arcady review as ‘a fearless journey into the depths of human experience’. Influenced by the Scottish Isles with elements of post rock and even hardcore running through, it tackles themes of loneliness and finding purpose in an atmospheric and intriguing way that promises to be oh so powerful in the live setting.

2000trees Festival 2025 takes place on Upcote Farm (near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL54 4BL) from Thursday 10 July to Saturday 12 July, 2025, with limited early entry on Wednesday 9 July only with a four-day ticket.
