Eve Adams has shared ‘Couldn’t Tell the Time’ ahead of the release of new album ‘American Dust’ on 22 August, 2025 via Basin Rock.

Short and sweet, bright and breezy, the song features Oliver Hamilton from caroline on fiddle, it finds Eve ruminating on ‘the magic hour of life when you’re not quite sure if you’re young or old, if you’re late or right on time…’. Her stream-of-consciousness thoughts – ‘Is it half past school bells or a quarter to wedding chimes’ – about growing up delivered against delicate alt-folk sounds.
