We’re excited to premiere ‘Ode to Carl Dennis’, the new single from lo-fi singer/songwriter Alexei Shishkin ahead of the release of new album ‘Good Times’ via Rue Defense on 5 September, 2025.

The slacker-pop stylings have a baroque tone and air of sadness as Alexei talks about not answering the phone, because he’s ‘damn sure they’re not calling for me’. He then goes on to say ‘I don’t know who’s on the line, it could be anyone, I don’t really mind’ over Malkmus-esque guitar hooks.
