Idlewild have shared ‘Like I Had Before’, the third and final single from their upcoming self-titled album, out on 3 October.

Featuring everything you love about this most special of bands – a touch of R.E.M. in its rhythm and melodies, Roddy Woomble’s poetic wordplay about modern culture and ‘theoretical criticism’ (‘It’s part of the life that we’ve been given, a brave new world, a brand new vision’) and jangly, hummable hooks – the whole three minute is the sound of a band letting go in the best possible way.
