2000trees Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2027 – and the party won’t break hearts with the much-anticipated return of Reuben.
A very special reunion for so many, this promises to be the set of the weekend. We’re proud to be from Aldershot and saw many Reuben gigs in and around the local area and beyond in the early to mid-2000s. In fact, one of our first gigs at our beloved West End Centre was an acoustic show that may have been Guy’s first gig on drums. Shows with Vex Red, Biffy Clyro, Hundred Reasons and Jetplane Landing and annual Christmas shows are also fond memories. Let’s see what the trio conjure up on the trees main stage next summer?
Joining Reuben are New Found Glory, Creeper, unpeople, Mannequin Pussy, and The Menzingers celebrate the 10th anniversary of much-loved ‘After the Party’ album by playing it in full. On first glance, we’ll also be keen to see The Spook School, Vower, and Opal Mag
A highlight of every summer 2000trees Festival organiser, James Scarlett, said the following about next year’s festival: “I’m very proud of where we are as we come into celebrating 20 years! It is still the original 6 friends that started 2000trees and we’re all still involved in some way, and that isn’t going to change. We’ve held on to be independent and continued our original aim, which was to create a festival that we would want to go to ourselves and nurture new artists just as much as we want to celebrate the bigger acts. It seems wild to think how it began and to have the rich history of acts like Frank Turner, Idles, Wolf Alice, George Ezra, Kneecap and so many more that have gone onto incredible things. 2027 is going to be a massive celebration”
2000trees 2027 will also feature a stage takeover by The Revival Tour, curated by Chuck Ragan from Hot Water Music and featuring Brian Fallon (of The Gaslight Anthem) and Dave Hause.
