After an extended break to get to work on their debut album, Stagecoach have released a new single called ‘Threequel’. The track, recorded by Rory Bratwell, sees the five-piece in brash form, although still retains their (Brit)pop sensibilities. With a hint of Gene, but also a more aggressive sound in tune with the likes of Tellison, the song mixes Luke Barham’s edgy vocals with intricate guitar work, delicate backing vocals and the hooks that have served the band so well in the past. Likely to be a fixture at this year’s festivals, it’s great to have them back.
The album will be out in May.
