Beth Shalom Records signings Marigolds have shared new single ‘Nerves’. Combining the hazy emo stylings of Delta Sleep with the folk tendencies of The Tallest Man on Earth, the track finds Lydia White tenderly asking ‘Will you still remember me?’ and listing a number of anxieties that sum up songwriter Joe Maguire’s complex feelings of isolation (he says it’s about ‘the pangs of being homesick and missing interactions you used to have’) and optimism for a better future: ‘You must have hit between my nerves. I’m getting older and it hurts. Let me know if it’s deserved. You must have hit between my nerves.’
