Living Body – ‘C.R.E.A.M.’

Living body C.R.E.A.M.

Leeds-based Living Body have shared new single ‘C.R.E.A.M.’. Self-described as ‘post-Brexitcore’, all the instruments on the track have been played, recorded and mixed by Jeff T. Smith and the track combines shoegazey melodies with pining vocals (you can hear the passion as Jeff sings ‘Opening up to Heaven’s Gate… Won’t you come and take me away?’) amidst a healthy dose of feedback. The chamber pop moments reminded us of the much-missed (and hugely underrated) Fanfarlo or Charlie Barnes but they’re mixed in with a more angular sound.

The song features on a hot yellow 12″ compilation released by Long Division Festival, which you can order via Living Body’s Bandcamp here.
