Jamie Tipson’s Second Hand Poet project has shared the stunning video (starring his son!) for new song ‘Dust to Dust’. Already a favourite with BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Frank Turner and Jonah Matranga, this song was recorded at Jamie’s home before being passed on to collaborator Mark Beazley (Keaton Henson) who mixed, mastered and added his own musical talents to the finished piece.
‘Dust to Dust’ opens with an almost ethereal atmosphere as Jamie’s falsetto vocals come in discussing ‘happiness’ and stepping into the unknown as you ‘slowly come up for air’. He also tells the subject of his affections that ‘you worry too much’ before contemplating the ‘confusion’ of the situation and pleading ‘don’t kid yourself’ over guitar work that sits somewhere between Jeff Buckley, Wilco and Big Thief.
