Following praise from the likes of Goldflakepaint, The Skinny and The List and ahead of a tour supporting label mate Pictish Trail, Glasgow indie-rockers have announced details of their upcoming second album ‘Weird Country’ (out on 3 April via Lost Map) and shared lead single ‘Karaoke’.

Described by singer, songwriter and guitarist Craig Angus as ‘An homage to Glasgow, a magical and intoxicating city that captivates and frustrates in equal measure’, there’s a country tone to the opening guitar hooks that brings to mind great Scottish indie rockers like Camera Obscura and Teenage Fanclub. Craig offers an insight into the people of the city: ‘When that train hits central you’ll see all my favourite songs – I’ll take you bowling, I’ll take you to dinner’ before gleefully suggesting plans for the evening ahead with a celebratory tone: ‘We’ll sing karaoke. We’re Robbie and Kylie until the neighbours complain when you’re sick on the stairs’

He then changes tack once again as he warns one of the residents: ‘Don’t piss on my bonfire, don’t piss in my oat milk. Don’t spoil my fun. I am not a criminal’. It’s a exuberant listen that really does transport you to the city at closing time on a Saturday night…
