New Wichita Recordings signing Julia Bardo has shared ‘Please Don’t Tell Me’ ahead of the release of her debut EP ‘Phase’ on 6 March and a support slot on The Orielles’ UK tour. A song ‘about being yourself and thinking with your own head’, it finds the Manchester-via-Italy musician examining how hard it is to to make your voice heard as an artist with all the other music available and distractions on show in the modern age. The alt-indie sound has elements of both Pavement and Lucy Dacus while you can hear the yearning in Julia’s voice as she explains ‘I just want to have some fun’.
