Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Jeffrey Silverstein has shared ‘Cosmic Scene’ ahead of the release of debut full-length album ‘You Become the Mountain’ via Arrowhawk Records on 3 April.

Jeffrey says the record is ‘heavily inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, long-distance running, meditation and my work as a special education teacher’ and ‘Cosmic Scene’ conjures up visions of beautiful scenery with its restrained, melodic and slow-burning approach. When Jeffrey starts to sing over the Tindersticks-meets-Villagers soundscapes (4 minutes in), the words are so comforting and positive: ‘Turn your life into a passing cloud, something of which you’re proud’
