Tomberlin has shared the Busy Philipps-directed video for ‘Wasted’ ahead of the release of new EP ‘Projections’ on 16 October via Saddle Creek (pre-order now).

The EP is co-produced by Alex G and Sam Acchione and follows 2018’s ‘At Weddings’ album. Sarah Beth Tomberlin says it was the ‘most fun song to record’ and asks if it’s a ‘sad song or summer banger’. Filmed over quarantine, the video features Sarah Beth and Busy’s family having fun in the sun, while the song itself is richly textured with off-kilter drums, elements of Caroline Polachek’s pop sensibilities and assertive questions and directions: ‘How come you only say I’m cute when you’re wasted?’; ‘Don’t come closer, don’t come closer’.
