Toronto-based singer-songwriter Alannah Kavanagh has released ‘Catch & Release’, the latest single under her Grizzly Coast moniker.

Opening with a refreshing burst of jangly power-pop guitars and Alannah’s floating vocals, the song finds her talking about being tempted by someone or something before changing her mind: ‘You know, I don’t play for keeps’. The vibrant melodies back up Alannah’s celebratory tone as she explains how good it feels when you decide to take an optimistic approach to your life and find yourself liberated: ‘It was inspired by the realization that I could really thrive on my own in ways that I wasn’t in touch with during my far younger years’.
