Rae Fitzgerald – ‘I’ve Got a Vision’

Keeled Scales signing Rae Fitzgerald has released ‘I’ve Got a Vision’ ahead of the release of her upcoming ‘Lonely Listener’ EP on 28 August.

Following shows with Lomelda, Palehound and Lucy Dacus, ‘I’ve Got a Vision’ is an ode to self-belief and how much difference having love and faith in yourself can make to your well-being. Much like Sharon Van Etten’s ‘Seventeen’ (‘I wanna help a lot but I’m far away’), this restrained song finds Rae giving life lessons to a younger version of herself while the quiet, almost-hushed instrumentation captures the reflective side of Sufjan Stevens.
