Magick Mountain – ‘Infinity X2’

Leeds-based Magick Mountain have shared new single ‘Infinity X2’ ahead of the the release of their debut album ‘Weird Feelings’ on 23 October. The trio, made up of Lins Wilson (Grammatics), Tom Hudson (Pulled Apart By Horses) and Nestor Matthews (Sky Larkin) make a fuzzy, addictive noise that recalls Fugazi, but with a psychedlic side dish that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Deerhunter record.

‘Infinity X2’ is described by the band as a love song that offers ‘a direct nod to the idea of being so close to someone that worlds, thoughts and imagined futures merge together’ and you can see this in the passionately screamed lyrics: ‘Melting faces, melting places. Melt together and make the new. I am you. And you are me.’
