We can scream about the virtues of Jon Hamm for days on end – we mean, have you seen the man do comedy? – but now we can also commend his excellent taste in music. The Mad Men actor takes a lead role in the Greg Barnes-directed 35mm film video for Eels’ new single ‘Are We Alright Again’

Described in the PR as ‘the feel-good hit of the feel-worst year’, the song finds E in a stop-start mood as he sings about leaving a cocoon and how it feels good in the sunshine where ‘the birds and bees jamming, a theme for the neighbourhood’. With a melodic potency similar to Ben Folds but blended with waves of ’70s Americana, the song will help you appreciate that better days are coming…
