South London-via-Buckinghamshire quartet Bleach Lab have shared new single ‘Old Ways’ ahead of the release of their debut EP ‘A Calm Sense of Surrounding’ on 19 March. Inspired by Mazzy Star and Cocteau Twins, the EP examines the five stages of grief with the new single looking at how you can have these same emotions at the end of a relationship. Jenna Kyle says ‘Old Ways’ is about the ‘anger towards the way in which they treated you but also towards oneself for still missing them regardless’.

There’s a nostalgic bent as Jenna looks back on this relationship with the benefit of hindsight – ‘With all your old ways and your old words, I realise that it was two different worlds’ – before pondering over the fabrications that were told to keep things going: ‘Before you say it, I think I already know. I never said it, you made it up on your own. You told a lie, you will regret it.’
