Joanna Sternberg has shared the video for new single ‘I’ve Got Me’, the title track from their new album out via Fat Possum on 30 June. Partly inspired by Charles Bukowski’s ‘Oh Yes’ poem (which Joanna has tattooed on their right arm), the song brings back memories of the anti-folk scene of the early 2000s led by The Moldy Peaches alongside the openness of newer artists like Rosie Tucker as Joanna looks inwards and examines their own shortcomings: ‘Why’s it so hard to be kind and gentle to myself? Take the box of self-depreciation, lock it and put it on the shelf. Then wait 5 days, take that box and throw it in the fire!’
