Following the announcement of new album ‘Lost Weekend’ (out on 14 August, 2026 via Dead Oceans), Phoebe Bridgers has shared the renaissance faire-inspired video for lead single ‘Lost Boys’.

Produced by Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska, Jack Antonoff and Phoebe herself, the song has an incredible cast of stars including boygenius bandmates Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus plus Alex G and regular collaborators Christian Lee Hutson and Harrison Whitford.

Mixed by Bright Eyes’ Mike Mogis, the song opens with gentle melody and subtle synthy experimentation as Phoebe fondly recalls a time on a motorbike and thinks back to a time that was ‘make believe’: ‘Lost boys never grow up, never get old’. With the Neverland theme continuing through, she then talks about a time in East Berlin and a loved one wishing they were dead – although she doesn’t believe this. There are horns and brass weaved into the arrangement before things slow down ‘when all will be forgiven in an instant’.

Of course, as it’s Phoebe in sadpop mood, devastation is never far away: ‘We are born again, so who cares where we’re going? In the morning, you are not there’.
