With the release of their debut album ‘Young Animal Hearts’ mere weeks away, Spring Offensive have decided to whet the appetite of this long-awaited record even more by streaming the new song ‘Hengelo’.
Listing a number of familiar anxieties, the fearful lyrics (‘I was in Berlin, I was on my own’) are surrounded by an almost hypnotic rhythm that progresses as the band break into their trademark vocal harmonies. ‘Hengelo, I am so glad for everything I carry on my back. Oh Hengelo, I was so scared, I’m up to neck in debt’ is repeated over and over again, while a vigorous and brisk beat carries it along. Bring on ‘Young Animal Hearts’!

They was great at the gig in berlin.
I’m only a little disapointed about berlin’s crowd, they were so lazy and so silent.
