Signed to YALA! Records (the label co-founded by Felix White of The Maccabees) and already regulars on the 6Music playlist, Egyptian Blue follow up a support tour with The Murder Capital with the release of their second EP ‘Body of Itch’ on 10 April – and you can listen to ‘Never’ now.

Opening with a burst of Wire-style angular post-punk guitars, the song builds up the pace as the band rally against how alienating the propaganda spread by fake news and the political elite is (in the PR, Andy Buss says ‘We need to constantly question what we’re being told, particularly from world leaders, whatever side they’re on’). After passionately repeating the word deception, Andy takes a hearfelt quote from his mum about how things can – and hopefully will – improve: ‘One day we’ll climb the mountain, but I’m never coming down’.
