New Beth Shalom Records signing Kern Parks (Kieran Alexander) has shared new single ‘Elephant’. A rumination on the producer and multi-instrumentalist’s past and how key events have shaped who he is as a person, the song opens in sparse, acoustic fashion with introspective lyrics about being kept grounded and rounded.

Around 75 seconds in, subtle beats join the twinkly emo guitar melodies and the song veers into something akin to a more blissed-out and melancholic kennyhoopla as the singer talks about their well-being, revealing how ‘it’s easy to feel relief when the elephant takes its foot off your chest and to the gas pedal’.
