Eades – ‘Reno’

Following praise from NME, the Guardian and BBC 6 Music, Eades have returned with new single ‘Reno’ – a song that tells the farcical story of someone using indiscriminate arson as a means to escape the mundane normality of a 9-5 work. Opening with crunching guitar riffs and a glam-rock stomp, there are echoes of Parquet Courts in the sound while the storytelling has elements of The Hold Steady (‘hitting his head on the frame of a door’). There are also grungey undertones throughout and a DIY feel shining through – especially with the gang chants, faltering drums and bouncing bass line.
