Hull quintet Low Hummer have shared new single ‘Talk Shows’ ahead of a performance at this year’s SXSW. The eminently danceable and wonderfully wonky new single finds the band taking aim at the absurd societal pressure to drink (‘Drink makes you fun. You’re not drinking, you’re boring. I’m not drinking, I’m hardly sleeping’) and certain people’s needs for attention. They also touch upon body dysmorphia and the alluring dirge of late-night TV amidst the slew of Working Men’s Club-meets-LCD glitches and riffs: ‘I’m tired of you, you said you’re tired of me. I’m tired of the news, I’m tired of repeats, the talk shows, the faces…’
