Limerick newcomers Theatre have shared new single ‘The Fall’. This release follows shows with English Teacher, Westside Cowboy and Shame, and comes ahead of a performance at The Great Escape and tour support slot with Bleech 9:3.
Deeply atmospheric from its opening moments, so much so you could imagine the band’s sound filling the Bang Bang Bar (or Roadhouse) featured in Twin Peaks, the song finds Maeve O’Shea’s haunting vocals gliding across as she delivers devastating lines about looking towards the gates of hell and how ‘I’ve pitied the rich and I have ditched the shame. Nothing feels the same’. These words are surrounded by epic guitar sounds and a powerful crescendo of drums.
