Civil Villains have shared ‘Punching Down’ ahead of the release of their second album ‘A Sleeper, Underneath’ via Thundersnuff Records on 8 May, 2026.

Opening with woozy, mathy riffs the band offer ruminations on power, corruption and collective complicity and how it’s not too late for all of us with a conscience and compassion to take control. The powerful declaration of ‘I am not a fool’ runs throughout as the song comes to a sweet and sudden ending..
