Local Natives – ‘Dark Days’ (feat Sylvan Esso)

Local Natives have shared a new version of ‘Dark Days’ from their 2016 album ‘Sunlit Youth’. Now featuring guest vocals from Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath, the song has been remixed by Spike Stent (Madonna, Bjork, Grimes) and its contemplative tone – ‘Dark days in the summer, in the rain the water’s fine’ is perfect for these strange times. As the band say, Amelia’s brand new verse exquisitely ‘taps into the nostalgia and longing we all feel for a different time’. Just try and hold back the emotions as they harmonise the words: ‘I’ve been on the way. I’ve been on my way for so long’.
