Major Murphy have shared the video for ‘In the Meantime’ ahead of the release of their second album ‘Access’ via Winspear on 2 April. Written after band members Jacob Bullard and Jacki Warren’s young son suffered from lead poisoning, the song captures the fears and anxieties parents go through when children are in danger with very little they can do to help: ‘You know we’ve come so far that we can’t turn back now. However, there’s a boost of optimism in the fuzz-laden Grandaddy-esque chorus as the couple sing in unison about going the distance, not turning back and how ‘In the meantime, I’ll survive’.
