Packs have shared the video for new single ‘Silvertongue’, the second to be taken from new record ‘Take the Cake’ (out on 14 May through Fire Talk and Royal Mountain). Following shows with acts including Squirrel Flower and Odetta Hartman, this scatty and scuzzy piece of grunge-meets-slacker pop will introduce Maddie Link to a wider audience. There are elements of Stephen Malkmus in the delivery of her vocals while the lyrics (‘Are you really trying to escape?) and swirling guitar hooks reminded us of contemporaries like Disq.
