Marlody – ‘Runaway’

Marlody singer songwriter Runaway

Ashford, Kent-based singer-songwriter Marlody has shared the video for ‘Runaway’ – the third single to be taken from her beautiful ‘I’m Not Sure at All’ album. A song that talks about being on the brink of oblivion in hushed and subtle tones, it finds her contemplating how beautiful nothingness can be. She opens the song by delicately explaining how ‘I was nowhere to be found’ before reminiscing about crawling out of a hiding place to be confronted by a moon that was ‘bright and strong’. This storytelling is delivered against subtle keyboards and, later, layers of gently interweaved vocals and an air of defiance: ‘I was not lost and I didn’t really wanna be a runaway soul’.
