American Football have shared the video for ‘Wake Her Up’, one of the standout tracks from this year’s self-titled fourth album.

Featuring guest vocals from Wisp (who stars in the video alongside Mike Kinsella as they enjoy a bike rise around night-time LA, while picturesque views of Paris are projected behind them), the glacial and glorious track is full of the band’s trademark twinkly emo melodies and soul-searching lyrics about falling in love – in addition to cutting Smiths-esque lines about how: ‘Your daughter’s not dead, she’s just asleep for hours on end.

The video was co-directed by legendary skate filmmaker and aerial cinematographer Ty Evans (Yeah Right!), Oscar-winning writer and director, Cord Jefferson (American Fiction), and renowned skate photographer, Atiba Jefferson.
